His serious involvement with the sport started with becoming the captain of Andrew Jackson High School Varsity Team. While at Andrew Jackson he was able to play the game he loved and develop leadership skills, respect for teamwork, discipline and responsibility that he hopes to pass on to young athletes. After finishing high school, Mark earned his MBA from FAMU and moved to California to pursue a career in business and marketing. Understandably when the opportunity presented itself to return home and to give back to the community he grew up in, Mark didn't hesitate. He now manages FCBA, combining his business expertise and his passion for basketball with the ability to empower and strengthen the local community. He is also currently the Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach at Beachside High School in St John’s County.
